Framer Templates: Where to Find the Best Free and Paid Ones (2026)
Shahul
The best place to find Framer templates is the official Framer Marketplace. It has free and paid templates across about 50 categories, and paid templates in the listing we reviewed in October 2026 cost $29 to $149. For more free options, use curated lists; for more paid ones, template shops like Creative Market and Flowbase sell Framer templates too.
We build Framer plugins and components used by 2,000+ Framer users, and we've started publishing our own templates as well, so we look at a lot of them. This guide lists where to find Framer templates, what free ones leave out, how to install one, and how to tell a good template from a pretty screenshot.
Key Takeaways
- The Framer Marketplace is the main source: around 50 categories, a free filter, and paid templates from about $29 to $149.
- Free templates open straight into your account; paid ones are bought on the creator's checkout and arrive as a remix link.
- Framer doesn't handle template payments or refunds. The creator sets the licence and refund policy, so read them before buying.
- Judge a template by its CMS structure and mobile layouts, not its hero section.
- Directory, real estate and store templates need more than looks: filtering and commerce decide whether they work.

1. Framer Marketplace
Framer's own template marketplace is where most people should start. It's organised into roughly 50 categories, from Portfolio, SaaS and Agency to Real Estate, Restaurants and Weddings, and you can sort by price to surface the free ones.
The workflow is the simplest of any source. Free templates have a "Use for Free" button that opens the template in Framer and adds it to your account. Paid templates link to the creator's checkout, and the remix link arrives by email after you buy.
2. Free templates on the Marketplace
A few of the free templates on the Marketplace's free listing when we checked in October 2026, by name and creator:
- Tabfolio by Sebastian
- Powder and Makro by Nick Stepuk
- Kern by Aathif Thajudeen
- Nina Park by Akriti Jaiswal
- Coska by Pixasquare
- Formo by Kadir Calik
- ProLab by Green Yang
The free listing changes as creators publish and reprice, so treat this as a starting point and sort the Marketplace by price for the current set.
3. Curated free template lists
If you'd rather scan one page than click through categories, curated lists help. VictorFlow's free Framer templates roundup links 40 free templates directly to Framer, and the templates are free to duplicate and edit. Creators also share free templates on their own sites and in Framer's community space, which Framer relaunched with Framer 3.0 in June 2026.
4. Paid template shops outside Framer
Some designers sell Framer templates on general template marketplaces too:
- Creative Market has a large Framer category. The listings we saw ran from $9 to $80.
- Flowbase sells Framer templates at $24 each.
- Craftwork lists Framer templates next to its UI kits and design assets.
Check how each one delivers the template. Framer templates are installed with a remix link, so make sure the listing includes one rather than only a design file.
5. FramerHub templates
We publish templates for the site types where looks alone aren't enough, because the site has to sell or search:
(free): a fine-jewelry store template that runs on FrameWoo, our WooCommerce plugin for Framer, with a live cart, checkout and customer accounts. - Aurelle ($49): a jewelry and luxury boutique store, also on FrameWoo.
- Mercato (included with our plugins): a multi-category store with search, wishlist, cart and account pages.
($69): a real estate template with a price range slider and filters for status, bedrooms, bathrooms and property type across a CMS listing catalogue.

Free vs paid Framer templates
Free templates are a good way to learn Framer or launch a simple site. The difference with paid ones shows up after launch:
| Free templates | Paid templates | |
|---|---|---|
| CMS | Often minimal or hard-coded content | Usually CMS-driven blogs, projects or listings |
| Pages | Often a single page or a short set | Full sites: home, about, pricing, blog, contact |
| Mobile layouts | Variable | Usually tuned per breakpoint |
| Support and updates | Rarely | Depends on the creator; check before buying |
| Licence | Set by the creator | Set by the creator; check client-use terms |
For freelancers and agencies, licence terms decide whether a template can go on a client site. Framer's help centre doesn't define one licence for every template, so client use, multiple sites and resale depend on each creator's terms. The same goes for refunds: Framer doesn't process template payments, so the creator handles them.
How to use a Framer template
- Free template: click "Use for Free". It opens in Framer and is added to your account.
- Paid template: click "Buy", complete checkout on the creator's site, then open the remix link from your email to copy the project into your workspace.
- Edit it like any project. A template is a normal Framer project once copied, so you can change content, styles, layout and components.
- Swap in your content through the CMS if the template uses collections. This is faster and safer than editing pages one by one.
- Publish. You can publish on a free Framer subdomain; a custom domain needs a paid site plan, from $10/month as of October 2026.
How to pick the right template
Most template regret comes from choosing on the hero section. Check these before you commit:
| Site type | What to check | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| SaaS / startup | Pricing table, changelog or blog via CMS, clear signup CTA | Feature sections hard-coded into the page |
| Portfolio | CMS-driven projects, a strong project detail page | Case studies built as separate static pages |
| Agency | Services, case studies and team as CMS collections | A beautiful home page with thin inner pages |
| Store | A real cart and checkout, not just product cards | "Shop" pages that link out to nowhere |
| Directory / real estate | Listing template page plus search and filters | Native filters that can't do ranges or multiple fields |
Open the template's preview on your phone before buying. Mobile layouts are where cheap templates cut corners, and they're slow to fix after the fact.
When a template isn't enough
Templates handle layout. They don't add features Framer lacks. The two gaps we see most:
- Search and filtering. Framer's native filters cover simple dropdowns and checkboxes. Listing sites need multi-field search, price ranges and result counts, which is what
adds to any CMS collection. - Sections the template doesn't have. Galleries, sliders, effects and CMS layouts can be added from
without rebuilding the template.
Turn a template into a real directory
CMS Filter adds multi-field search, range sliders, facets with counts and sorting to any Framer CMS collection.
If you build templates yourself, the Marketplace is also a place to sell them. Framer's creators page says it takes a 0% cut of Marketplace sales, and our
FAQ
Are Framer templates free?
Many are. The Framer Marketplace has a price filter, and free templates open straight into your account with "Use for Free". Paid templates in the listing we reviewed in October 2026 ranged from $29 to $149.
Where can I find free Framer templates?
Start with the Framer Marketplace sorted by price, then curated lists such as VictorFlow's roundup of 40 free templates. Creators also share free templates on their own sites and in the Framer community.
How do I use a Framer template?
Click "Use for Free" on a free template and it opens in Framer as a normal project. For a paid template, buy it on the creator's checkout, then open the remix link they email you.
Can I use a Framer template for a client project?
It depends on the creator's licence. Framer doesn't set one licence for all templates, so check the terms on the template's detail page or at checkout before using it for client work.
Who handles refunds for paid Framer templates?
The template creator. Framer doesn't process template payments or manage refunds; if you can't reach the creator, Framer suggests emailing creators@framer.com.
Can I sell my own Framer templates?
Yes, on the Framer Marketplace. Framer says it takes a 0% cut of Marketplace sales, and templates are the only product type that also earns referral commission.
Choosing your template
Start with the Framer Marketplace, sort by price if budget matters, and shortlist two or three templates. Open each preview on your phone, check that the content you'll update most lives in the CMS, and read the creator's licence before client work. If the site needs to sell or search, pick a template built for that, or plan the plugin you'll add before you start customising.
